My lists are not syncing between my iPhone and iPad.
Sync uses iCloud. On both devices open Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, and make sure iCloud Drive is on and The Packing List is allowed to use iCloud. Both devices must be signed in with the same Apple ID. Changes usually arrive within a minute while the app is open.
How do I share a list with someone?
Open the list, tap the Share button and choose Share with a link. Send the link any way you like. The other person opens it in their browser, adds their name, and can add, edit and check off items. You see their changes live. In Share settings you can pick which categories are visible, protect the list with a password, or stop sharing.
Can I undo changes a guest made to my shared list?
Yes. Share settings keeps a snapshot of the list from before you shared it. Tap Restore to put the list back exactly as it was.
How do reminders work?
Open any item, tap Remind me and choose a date and time. The app sends a local notification at that moment, even if the app is closed. Make sure notifications are allowed for The Packing List in iOS Settings.
What does the premium purchase include?
Premium removes the list limit, unlocks the Apple Watch app, export and import of lists, editing the suggested-items template, and any future premium features. You can choose a one-time lifetime purchase or a yearly subscription.
I bought premium but the app still shows the paywall.
Open the paywall screen and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to buy. If it still doesn't unlock, email us with your App Store receipt and we will sort it out.
How do I export or back up my lists?
In the list, tap Share and choose Export. This creates a .tpl file you can save to Files, send by email or AirDrop. Opening a .tpl file on any device with the app installed imports the list.
How do I edit the suggested items?
On the Pick suggested items screen tap Edit template. You can rename, add or remove categories and items. Your edited template is used for every new list from then on, and you can reset it to the default at any time.
How do I use the Apple Watch app?
Install The Packing List on your watch from the Watch app on your iPhone. Your lists appear on the watch automatically through iCloud, and you can tick items off from your wrist. The watch app is part of premium.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app from all your devices removes your lists from them. To remove the iCloud copy as well, open iOS Settings, tap your name, iCloud, Manage Storage, find The Packing List and delete its data. Shared lists you stop sharing are removed from our servers.
